Nice campground with lots of trees in a somewhat remote location. We started down the Nature Trail from the campground expecting some relief from the heat since the map showed the trail following Seventeen Mile River. What we found was mostly swamp and the heat and humidity was just as bad. We bailed at about the halfway point and walked back along the road.

Campground was all pull-thru sites along the sides of the loop roads. Some were level and some were not. No effort was made to make those that weren’t level. All sites are the same price and it was a pick your own site on a first come first served basis.

No Wi-Fi but OK cell service. OTA TV was nonexistent and because of the trees, satellite was strictly based on your particular site. We couldn’t find a hole between the trees. Bathrooms were clean and provided a satisfying amount of hot water.
