Folly Beach has a 1045 foot fishing pier extending into the Atlantic. It is the second longest pier on the east coast. The fishing stations are numbered and a special permit is required AND there are rules posted. We arrived in late morning at low tide so there were only a couple of fishermen. We saw one catch a small ray.
